At the Central Field Base, report the body in the Field Hospital, investigate the Dig Site, collect Wilson’s ID and the recording above it, use both Security Station computers, open the hospital locker, then clear the Warehouse and speak to Wilson.

The most common delay is leaving the Security Station after using only one computer. The first provides the locker code; the second contains surveillance footage. Both are relevant before you return to the hospital.

At the final decision, believing Wilson and offering to carry AVP-3 back to the Threshold yourself is the route associated with the recorded outfit and artifact recipe rewards. Other dialogue paths complete the story differently.

How to Start Crossing the Threshold

Reach the FBC Field Base in Central with Level 1 clearance. Enter the Field Hospital, find the dead researcher and report the scene to Zoe by radio.

The loading-dock area has another relevant clue: a blinking surveillance camera. Examine it and report it as part of the investigation. If your objective list seems shorter than expected later, return and check this camera before searching the entire field base.

This is an evidence trail, so items and recordings matter as much as reaching a marker. Interact with each scene and wait for the objective update before leaving. The route spans nearby facilities that are easy to revisit, but collecting each lead on the first pass avoids unnecessary loops.

Objective-by-Objective Route

Use the order below as a practical path through Central. The key is to finish each investigation stop before traveling to the next one.

Dig Site: body, ID and recording

At the Dig Site, report the body and pick up Wilson’s ID card beside it. Then climb to the elevated container above and use the ID to open it. Take the Threshold Site Recording. The recording links the expedition to the Field Hospital and gives context for the next evidence stop. Missing the ID is the main reason this container seems inaccessible.

Field Hospital: locked locker

Investigate the hospital body if you have not already, then inspect the locked locker. Dylan needs a code, so the next destination is the Security Station rather than another search inside the hospital. Leave the locker in place until you obtain the code from the station.

Security Station: use both computers

The station is below the fast travel point. One terminal shows the locker code after you cycle through its screens. A second terminal to the right contains footage from the loading docks. Use both, then go back to the Field Hospital and open the locker.

Warehouse: find Wilson

Travel to the Warehouse and clear the enemies inside. The rear room contains Wilson. Speak to him after securing the area; the conversation explains AVP-3 and leads to the branching choice.

A marker can lead you to the correct building without telling you which of two terminals is still unused. Read the objective wording: code, footage and Wilson are separate tasks. If one remains open, revisit the matching row above.

AVP-3 Choice and Ending

Wilson asks Dylan to decide how to handle AVP-3. The choice to believe him and personally carry the entity back to the Dig Site Threshold is the reward-bearing route reported in the walkthroughs.

Choose the sympathetic dialogue, then explicitly choose to take AVP-3 yourself. Merely believing Wilson and then selecting containment with him is a different branch. The recorded reward path gives the Sensory Restraint Hood outfit and Untapped Practice Knot artifact recipe.

With AVP-3 in hand, reach the Dig Site’s yellow-tinted center and complete the transfer. A quick way back is to climb onto the Warehouse roof, cross toward the marker and drop into the Threshold area rather than trying to cut through walls at ground level.

The alternative choices still resolve the Side Story, but they do not follow the same reward outcome. If you care about that outcome, make the second choice carefully before leaving the Warehouse.

Navigation and Combat Roadblocks

The combat in the Warehouse is a gate before the conversation, not the central puzzle. Clear it, then check the door at the back. Earlier confusion usually comes from missing evidence, not enemy difficulty.

If you are alternating Central Side Stories, avoid mixing this investigation with Langston’s Panopticon Service Request. That one also begins near the Field Office but involves a security terminal and an Altered Radio. Crossing the Threshold follows bodies, recordings and Wilson.
